Do I need a prescription for peptide therapy?

Yes. QuakerRx is a licensed dispensing pharmacy and only dispenses peptide therapies with a valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider. We do not prescribe medications and do not provide medical advice.

Does QuakerRx ship peptides nationwide?

Yes. QuakerRx is licensed to dispense in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Peptide prescriptions are shipped nationwide using cold-chain packaging where required to preserve product integrity.

Is QuakerRx a compounding pharmacy?

No. QuakerRx is a licensed dispensing pharmacy — not a compounding pharmacy, drug manufacturer, or telehealth provider. We partner with independent, FDA-registered 503A and 503B compounding facilities that prepare the medication, which we then dispense to patients with a valid prescription.

Are compounded peptides FDA-approved?

Compounded medications, including many peptide therapies, are not FDA-approved as finished drug products. They are prepared by FDA-registered 503A or 503B facilities under federal and state oversight. Patients should review benefits, risks, and alternatives with their prescriber.

How are peptides shipped to maintain stability?

Temperature-sensitive peptides are shipped using validated cold-chain packaging with insulated containers and temperature controls designed to keep the medication within its required range during transit.

How do I transfer a peptide prescription to QuakerRx?

You can start a transfer through our intake form on the Injectables Journey page or by calling our pharmacy team. We will coordinate directly with your prescribing provider to obtain or transfer the prescription.

Does insurance cover peptide therapy?

Coverage for peptide therapies varies by plan and is often limited. Our team can verify benefits, support prior authorizations where applicable, and provide transparent self-pay pricing when coverage is not available.

Can QuakerRx recommend a peptide protocol?

No. QuakerRx does not prescribe peptides, recommend dosing, or provide clinical protocols. All clinical decisions — including whether peptide therapy is appropriate, dosing, and duration — must be made by your licensed healthcare provider.

What should I do if I have a side effect or reaction?

Contact your prescribing provider immediately for any clinical concerns or adverse reactions. For emergencies, call 911. You may also report adverse events to the FDA's MedWatch program.

How should I store my peptide medication at home?

Storage requirements vary by peptide. Always follow the storage instructions on the label and the guidance provided by your pharmacist and prescriber. Most refrigerated peptides should be stored between 36°F and 46°F (2°C–8°C) and kept away from light.
